this is late, but a week before all the FINALS craziness start,
this bunch of people manage to have a getaway to Holland, 45 minutes from Grand Rapids just in time for Tulip Time - the yearly festivals where you get to experience the Dutch Village and of course, the amazing beautiful TULIPS.
The weather was just perfect, with the sun and breeze it can’t be a much more enjoyable Saturday at all.
This is probably one of the reason why I actually strived through my last weeks of school, not only getting things done but getting them out early.
It is a new experience once again, there are so many new things happening this year and it is purely amazing! Having all these places but never explore them, what are they there for afterall? (:
05.04.13 - Holland Windmill Island, Michigan
Well, another semester just passed. Yup, that was Spring 2013.
With 16 credits, 5 courses - EDUC 238, ENGL 340, PSYC 220, MATH 221, and KIN 223.
It has been a busy crazy fun enjoyable BITTERSWEET Semester.
Let’s start with EDUC238, this Developmentally Appropriate Practice - is the Early Childhood Course where we get to go outside and actually volunteer in daycares. Though it sucks to have no dinner and nap time, I enjoyed every moment I spent with the children. However, at the end of it I found out something that is very disturbing and unpleasant, but really, it is a lesson to learned, and though it is very disappointing I still thank you for the whole experience. It helps me get stronger, of course (:
ENGL 340 - My first ever 300 level courses! The realization of actually getting all serious with Uni. Thought I wouldn’t struggle as much with Children Literature, but it is actually a lot more than I expected! It hit me a bit late (into midterm) to realize that 300 level courses are of course much more demanding and academically challenging. Though it was a lot of readings and reports, by the end of it I actually realized that reading is one of the hidden passion, and this course opened my eyes to a brand new perspective - how important books are and how valuable the lessons they teach you. I absolutely enjoyed the course, and couldn’t thank prof. H more for being such into the materials to make it even more enjoyable (: I enjoyed every single book and planning to keep all of them! plus, got to volunteer at Youth Writing Festivals is a new college experience!
PSYC 220 - Marriage and Family, interesting topic, taking Psychology definitely makes you think about human, and thoughts - quite a lot. With that, enough said.
MATH 221 - I would say Math for Elementary Teacher definitely helps in putting you into the students’ shoes: THIS COURSE IS TOUGH. I still have 2 more Math courses to go, and though the materials scare me, I am thankful for FUNNIEST crack up prof. T and my friends - for all the study stress hyper sesh we shall continue on more!
KIN 223 - Prolly one of the most interactive chillest moving FUN class. Movement is important, dances brainbreaks stretches and YOU NAME IT. Anything that helps students learn better: This class provides!
The reasons why this semester is remarkable - IT MARKS MY SECOND YEAR IN UNIVERSITY, WHICH MEANS I AM LITERALLY, HALFWAY THROUGH GETTING OUT IN THE REAL SOCIETY. Pretty excited plus super freaked out ._. Let’s not go there!
Another one is: I prolly spent most of my LIFE at LIBRARY - FUN.
This semester is about growing up and learning new responsibility: Dealt with my first ever adult stuff renting apartment to paying to signing a lease: now I am super excited about that!
Practiced driving, though I don’t consider that under control yet, I’m improving :) or trying to.
Now a crew leader - locking up at dark night alone is definitely scary, but I am trying to be braver, yes trying so hard. And locking up has it’s own fun! definitely ;)
This semester is absolutely a growing up experience, and I cannot thank everyone enough for supporting and getting me through it, teaching guiding accompanying and whatever it is that you do.
How would I ever get through these days alone?

“I may be a kid, but I’m a gentleman in the making.”
Guys, learn from this ;)
This might be old,
and it might have been watched numbers of times.
For some reasons, once in a while i always go back to this video, and cried every single time I watch it :’)
It’s so sad, yet so beautiful. It’s real, and so very touching.
Don’t forget to thank your parents today! You have no idea how much they have been giving out to love and care for you, and without them you won’t even be here.
If 5 days doesn’t seem to be enough, I think 120 hours should do it.
1 school day, 3 finals, 2 take home, driving, moving out, PLUS LIFE.
I can do this through Him who gives me strength. - Phil 4:13

In life, you are blessed with a lot of different blessings, from the smallest ones to the biggest ones.
She is probably one of the biggest ones I’ve ever have.
They say in order to really embrace your weirdness with proudness you only need one person, and for me, that one person is her.
She is more than just a best friend, more than just a partner in crime, more than just a sister, she is TOAST(Tobagus) while I am JAM(Sulayman) (:
Though we have been MILES apart, and getting to what we have now certainly involves quite some hardship of not talking or getting a bit upset and things like that,
but that’s exactly why we can get pissed at each other knowing that we still cares anyways (:
I have a feeling this friendship is gonna last for quite a while, and I guess we just have to tolerate each other of our uncontrollable weirdness :P Bear with me.
When we think about ayam pop or bus firm or minion talks and many mores,
To the sleepovers sleepless nights, movies, cummmiiii, HAAGGENDAZ, and all the craziest stuff u can ever thought of!
SOO Without further “blabbering” like I always do,
FROM GR TO VICTORIA, 15470,
Here comes the ONTIME Birthday Wishes,
HAPPPYYYYY TWWWWEEENNNTTIEETTH BIRTHDAAYYY Jessica Lee Tobagus!
YOU’RE 20! YOU’RE OLD!
Have an amazing one, because you deserved it, just like how you’ve never stop on being amazing (at least to me :P) LOL
I won’t go all cheesy and stuff, since you’re gonna go EEUW anyways,
but JAM HEARTS TOAST, MISSES TOAST, and what is more glorious than our TELEPATHY lifelong “must reach make come true” dream?
ZUUUNNNNGGGGGG ;)
PS. Let me officially welcome you to the TWENTYS ERA! woohoo now we’re finally on the same page again, I’ve been waiting!
